What would Steve have done?

Recently had to review work created by others. Bad quality, my first reaction was to harshly critique their work. That is what Steve Jobs (according to his bio) would have done - insulting and hurting his people by telling them that their work was rubbish, but pushing (some of) them to higher performance by doing so.

But I neither have the chairman position of Steve nor the ego; I know that my colleagues would take my critique very badly, blame me for not being a team player and refuse cooperation in the end. So? I respond in a politically correct way, knowing that the results will continue to be mediocre in the future. Maybe Steve was right, but can I afford to be an asshole all the time?

Some of the songs are surely tagged as Oldies, but the 70ies disco hits still get everybody to the dance floor, even the kiddies. We consequently ignore the signs of our old age and keep dancing until 3 in the morning.

Indien, ein Subkontinent für sich selbst, fasziniert seine Besucher mit Jahrhunderte alten Tempeln und farbenprächtigen Palästen ebenso wie spektakulären Landschaften. Seine Menschen, so sagt man, sind tief religiös und traditionsverbunden, aber zu gleich moderne Bürger einer aufsteigenden Nation.
India, a sub-continent of it’s own, fascinates it’s visitors with ancient temples and colorful palaces, and spectacular landscapes. It’s people are said to be deeply religious and bound to their traditions, but also modern citizens of a uprising nation.
